The engine
The electric bicycle engine is subject to strict rules of European legislation to manufacture these products. The first constraint is related to the engine power, which must not exceed 250 W, while the second is relative to the maximum speed, which the road code limits to 25 km/h.
This does not mean that we cannot exceed this speed, but this will be due only to our strength because the engine will no longer support that speed. In fact, it will not be difficult to travel with an electric bicycle at 60 km/h.

Materials and design
